2D Component Design 

Its not just a 3D world, so for both novice and advanced users, our Pictures by PC CAD software includes a dedicated 2D mechanical drafting package with a suite of mechanical design tools.   

These include routines for items such as screw connections, bearings, gears and automatic detail views. Special tools also help machinists check a drawing for gaps and other faults before creating toolpaths to send to the CNC machine.

Inbuilt project management tools enable a vast amount of information to be linked to the 2D geometry. This ranges from part list information and external references such as engineering change notes, through to complete design standards.

Combine this with the ability to structure a 2D drawing into actual components and sub assemblies, and what you have is an intelligent 2D design tool that surpasses almost all other 2D CAD systems.
