Update PDF Presentation Tools

Germany, May 2008 - Schott Systeme GmbH have launched their latest PDF
presentation suite. Key features of the software include the ability to
create typical ‘slide show’ presentations in a PDF format, in addition
to the automatic conversion of CAD and graphics data for professional
print.

PDF Document Conversion
Supplied
as standard within their ‘Pictures by PC’ software for 2D/3D design
and technical documentation, the aim of the suite is to provide users with
a number of professional PDF creation tools. Integrated into the
software’s ‘Image Viewer’, an Explorer type tool to visually handle
project documentation, the user can quickly generate new PDF’s by simply
selecting the documents to be included. Converting numerous formats from
CAD drawings through to designer sketches, the generation of the PDF is
then extremely fast, and provides an ideal means of supplying project
documentation into a format that all parties can read. More advanced than
the general PDF output typically found in CAD systems, tools such as
‘Font Embedding’ and ‘Colour Profiles’ ensure the final PDF’s
can be used as a basis for professional print.

Using
the same tools, the selected documents can also form the basis of a PDF
‘Slide Show’. With the key benefit being a project presentation that
can be displayed on both PC’s and Mac’s, the user simply selects the
slides for inclusion, and applies slide transition effects and timings to
determine how the presentation runs. Providing an effective way to
distribute project information to all members involved, the ‘Slide
Show’ is produced as a single PDF document that can be opened by a
standard PDF reader.
