Systeme Innovate with Graphical Project Management

Stemming
from requests for a graphical means of organising project information,
without the need for databases and dedicated project management software,
German CAD/CAM developer Schott Systeme are launching their new suite of 'Graphical
Project Management’ tools.
|
|
Simple but extremely
effective, the
software enables all types of project documents such as job orders, design
drawings, engineering change notes and product catalogues to be
graphically linked to a project ‘structure’ graphic. Providing an
instant overview of a project and related documents, these ‘structure’
graphics can depict any aspect from initial planning, right the way
through to complete ISO
9000 procedures.

In
addition to the graphical planning aspect, Schott Systeme have also
focussed on the transparent
transportation of project information.
In a move to help ensure entire project documentation can be distributed
in a ‘neutral’
format readable by all departments, the company has developed the
‘world's first’ linked PDF. In short, their software will not
only automatically find all of the project documents linked during the
graphical planning stage,
but will in addition pack these* into a single PDF complete with
the project structure graphics. Ideal then for presentations and offsite
meetings, the project structure can be logically followed and the related
documentation displayed from within a single linked PDF.
