Creating a Profile to Turn

Profiles for 2 axis turning can either be imported as 2D CAD data, extracted from a 3D solid model, or created within our 2D CAD software. Geometry repair tools also help ensure that imported CAD data is correct in preparation for turning. This includes automatically finding and repairing gaps in contours.

Interactive machining cycles include Roughing, Finishing, Drilling, Tapping, Threading, Boring and Grooving, as well as routines for Facing and shapes with undercuts. Numerous canned cycles and sub routines are also supported.  Machining is then checked using simulation and output as an NC code for the machine.
