Creating a Profile for WireEDM

Profiles for 2 & 4 axis wireEDM can either be imported as 2D CAD data, extracted from a 3D solid model, or created within our 2D CAD software. Geometry repair tools also help ensure that imported CAD data is correct in preparation for turning. This includes automatically finding and repairing gaps in contours.

Aspects of machining include offset and power ratings, allowances, leadon/off, constant and variable tapers as well as wire threading and glue stops. CAM technologies can be stored for re-use for both 2 and 4 axis synchronized machining. Machining is then checked using toolpath display and output as an NC code for the machine tool.
