Component Preparation

Starting with a component design, Pictures by PC includes a suite of mold preparation tools for both solid and surface models. These include quick orientation utilities, undercut detection, freeform shutoff faces, automatic planar shutoff faces, automatic splitting on silhouette curves in addition to core, cavity and electrode extraction. 

Using Pictures by PC CAD software, complete moldbase arrangements can be imported via SAT and STEP from companies such as HASCO. These can quickly be assembled including the associated mold moving parts. Engineering documentation then includes the creation of 2D drawings, bill of materials and parts lists.
